wheatgrass superfood

Wheatgrass

Cereal grasses such as wheat or barley grass are extremely high in chlorophyll and loaded with over 90 minerals, making wheatgrass one of the most therapeutic foods on the planet! Wheatgrass offers unique digestive enzymes, which aids in digestion, along with elimination of toxic food substances. Cereal grasses are cooling to the body, which quickly cleanses toxins in the body. Special medicinal benefits of cereal grasses include the treatment of; arthritis, bruising, burns, cancer, constipation, emphysema, gangrene, poison oak, hypertension, lowering cholesterol, anemia, hepatitis, obesity, diabetes, peptic ulcers, acid reflux, fatigue, hemorrhoids, prostate difficulties, PMS, and toxicity from lead, mercury or other heavy metals.

Dosage: You can buy wheatgrass in an ice cube form at your local health food store. Take one-two ice cubes first thing in the morning with water. You can also buy wheatgrass in a tablet form. Follow the recommended dosage on the bottle. You may also grow your own wheatgrass, take it as juice or in powder form (I personally don’t like the taste of the powder). I like the ice cube form from Nature’s Wonder!

Flaxseed

Flaxseeds are tiny, hard seeds, golden or brown are high in Omega 3 fatty acids. The seeds themselves are not digestible, so to reap the wonderful health benefits the seeds must be ground into flax meal. Flaxseeds are inexpensive and are an excellent dietary source of fiber. In the eighth century Charlemagne considered flaxseeds so essential for good health that he passed laws requiring its use!
